Quotes about Jack...

Mike Stern (Grammy nominee/ jazz guitar superstar) has this to say about Jack-Mike also plays 2 pieces on Jack’s ‘With The Little We Have CD available on iTunes)

"I really dig Jack. He’s a good friend and a beautiful musician!"

Nikos Fotakis “Neos Kosmos” 14th July, 2017 article

"A seasoned musician, Pantazis has crafted two albums of original music and has been playing with a series of other talented musicians, most notably and consistently with the Daryl McKenzie Jazz Orchestra, but also with the Carols by Candlelight Orchestra, in which he works alongside his brother, acclaimed drummer Gerry Pantazis."

The Jack Pantazis Group (JPG) presents music of originals (a selection from two of Jack’s CD’s-What? & With the Little We Have- with a few pieces revised) along with new pieces that will be premiered and the odd  surprise of an original arrangement...such as a Beatles’ classic perhaps?

If you like your jazz smooth but with splashes of excitement, story telling, high level of musicianship and improvisation...then you won’t be disappointed. Improvisation is always at the heart of the music and it's delivery.

Supporting Jack will always be a group consisting of some of Australia’s finest musicians.

Here is a list of the terrific musicians who are frequently in this group.

REVIEW FROM ROB SIVERSTIEN NYC 2011

JACK PANTAZIS
With The Little We Have

The affinity for instrumental jazz guitar fusion music is a world wide phenomenon and case in point is a 2010 recording from Australian guitarist Jack Pantazis entitled With The Little We Have. At the start of the CD, Pantazis gives up some of his key influences—the Latin feel and Spaghetti Western swing of the opening “The Stand Off” and the solid jazz vibe of his self-styled tribute to jazz icon Thelonious Monk entitled “Monk Me.” The John McLaughlin influence on Pantazis comes across here on “The Winds Have Changed”, while two of the three cover songs on the CD—a version of “If I Were A Bell”, by Frank Loesser (first featured in the musical “Guys And Dolls”) and the jazz chestnut “On Green Dolphin Street”—both feature guitar duets with acclaimed NYC jazz guitarist Mike Stern. On “Heartsong”, Pantazis and company renew a composition written by keyboardist Fred Hersch while the CD closes out in style with a super energized jazz-rock track that sounds a little like Bill Connors era Return To Forever, entitled “I’m Outta Here.” Excellent players appear backing Pantazis throughout With The Little We Have, which also roundly benefits from superb studio sound, CD packaging and cover art.
